OLD FAMILY: ESOTIC FLORAL, FLORAL DOLCE AMBRATA Polynesian "Monoï" means "fragrant oil" and is obtained from the happy blend between two characteristic products of those islands: Cocco lioce (Cocos nucifera) and Tiaré flower (Gardenia tahitensis). Coconut pulp, cleansed of their most exterior, is drenched in the warm sun of the tropics and subsequently worked to extract the precious oil from well-known softening, velveting and protective properties. This oil is used to macerate Tiaré flowers, Tahiti emblems and characteristic ornaments of Polynesian women, enriching their warm and inebriating fragrance. The use of the Monoï de Tahiti, handed down to us from the earliest times, is a typical aspect of Polynesian culture that envisages its use for the beauty and scent of skin and hair.
